In loving memory of Thomas Hugh Lyon who sadly passed away at home from Prostate Cancer on 1st January 2018.
Tom was born on 7th July 1949.
He lived his life in Birmingham.
Son of Mary Winifred Lyon.
Husband to Julie Lyon.
Father to David and Erica, Andrew and Jo.
Stepdad to Luan and Paul, Ryan and Faye.
Grandad to Charlotte and Jude.
Tompa to Lydia, Claudia and Noah.
Until recently Tom worked at Sertec as a Design Engineer, a job which he loved. He enjoyed time with friends playing at Maxstoke Golf Club and snooker at Coleshill Social Club. His favourite music was The Drifters. He spent many hours basking in the sun on various holidays with Julie. Tom was always the life and the soul of every party and made sure he was first at the bar to buy you a drink. He doted on all his grandchildren and was also known as King of the BBQ!
Tom will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends.
The funeral will take place on Thursday 25th January 2018:

The family has designated the Prostate Cancer charity for memorial contributions instead of flowers, for those who wish to donate.

What an incredible day yesterday when we said our final farewell to Tom. So many people paying their respects to a fine man. Julie Andy David Luan and Ryan you gave Tom the send off he deserved.
