Roger John Twidale (11 Jun 1937 - 1 Apr 2018)

I have just leant of the death of Roger Twidale. I have known Roger from the age of 11, he was a great true friend. My twin brother, Keith, and I spent many enjoyable times together at his home in Mansfield. He was my best friend. He was a member of the 2nd Mansfield (Parish Church) Scout Troop. His brother, Peter, was also in the Scouts. I have many photographs of Roger taken during his time in the Scouts. I last saw Roger about 8 years ago. It was just by chance I read about his death on the Internet. During the time he was in the Scouts we shared some happy times together. I have a copy of a film his father took of a Jamboree at Walesby Scout Camp site. From his early years he always planned to be a farmer. I will never forget Roger. My twin brother and I were born a month later, 26 July, 1937.
