Celebrate
Weep not for me though I am gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

Thanks everyone for coming along to celebrate Deb's life yesterday - she would have really enjoyed the day, if not the performance of the Outlaws!

I worked at Lockton/IRS for 4 years from 2008-2012. For the latter 2 years, I had the pleasure of working with Deb as part of the credit control team. To date, she is still my favorite manager. She taught me the role well, boosted my confidence and really looked out for me. When I made the decision to move to Manchester on 2012, she was very supportive, even when I was unsure of my decision, she listened to me, more like a friend than a boss.
When she was first diagnosed that year, I was amazed at her strength and positivity! She kept in touch over the years to see how I was, and made an appearance at my wedding ceremony April last year. I was over the moon to see her there.

Thank you Deb, you are a true hero and inspiration. I'm very sad your no longer here, but you will never be forgotten.

I’ve been mulling over what to put on here because honestly words are not enough.

We met at work but soon became friends and partied together at Glastonbury. The memory of dancing with you in front of the Pyramid stage last year to Nile Rodgers is so incredibly special to me. We’ll be trying extra hard in October to get tickets and boogie in your memory at the farm in 2019.

I’ll miss your strength, wicked sense of humour and your passion for life. Truly an inspirational woman.

My thoughts and love are with Mark, her friends and family.

Love and miss you loads my lovely xxxx

The world can only be a poorer place without Deb in it. She was a highly principled lady who had the ability to make people laugh and to make them feel valued in her company. Her courage in the face of adversity had to be seen to be believed. We are already aware that the hole she has left in our lives will never be filled. Rest in peace Deb.

We had some brilliant memories at Glastonbury - watching Nile Rodgers with you last year in the sunshine (sunshine! At Glastonbury!!) was wonderful.

Thank you for being a wonderful friend and the words of wisdom you shared with me over the years.

I’ll be trying extra hard in October to get tickets for Glastonbury next year. We’ll have a boogie in front of the Pyramid stage on your behalf.

Love you, Glastomum xxxx
