In loving memory of Gerry Cunningham who sadly passed away on 31st July 2018

Dino Muscatelli wrote

Engrained, vivid memories of sitting in your company in the Abbey with your loving sons, enjoying a few pints and listening to your stories from the past. Conveyed in that distinctly soft, slow, gentle voice, we would hang off every word in anticipation of the climax to the story like nursery children being read to in a classroom. A captivating gentleman who’ll never be forgotten. Rest in peace Gerry

My dear Dad, so many laughs, and many pints. So many nights in the abbey, and I'll never forget the walks on the headlands of silver bay, Anglesea, a place you took us many times as children as you wanted us to have an adventure. You loved the pub there too. Every weekend in the summer we would head to your caravan, you made our childhood dad, the best a kid could ever want, and most importantly, all the brothers you gave me. i'm so proud to say I'm a Cunningham, RIP Legend, love you forever. Johnie x

To my Dad, Gerald.
To think we will never sink a pint together and make each other laugh with tales of our escapades saddens me deeply.
To think you’ll never call me again singing Dean Martin down the phone or sit at the table together eating one of Julie’s roasts watching the match is very Sad and a deep loss.
I take comfort in the fact you kept your dignity and independence right up until the end.
I know you’re up there now with Terry Nailor having a pint and laughing your heads off together surrounded by a cloud of cigar smoke.
See you later Gerald, my Lovely Dad, my best friend and a proper legend. You’ll be missed by me, Julie, Ash and Lottie. Goodbye and much love x

Gerry, in the 11 years I have known you I have grown to love you and all your crazy funny ways! Will miss you knocking round with the papers every week and all your random gifts you would give me. They have pride of place around the house. I am so glad we got to have one of our roast dinners together just before you passed and how every time you would tell me it was better than the last time. You always made me laugh.
Christmas and Boxing Day won’t be the same again and all the grandkids will miss their winter wonderland you built every year without fail.
You were an inspiration to all around you and we all loved you dearly. You will be sadly missed but always in our hearts and memories.
Goodnight Gerry, love you. Daughter-in-law Kate.xx
