Peacefully at home, on Saturday, June 6, 2015, John, beloved son of the late Willie and Thelma May, loving brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to all. A celebration of John's life will take place at Seafield Crematorium, on Friday, June 19, at 1 pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Flowers if desired may be sent to Porteous Funeral Directors, 72-74 Leith Walk, Edinburgh.

So so sorry to hear John has passed away, I knew him from my time working in the Southsider, he was so kind and funny. He used to bring me wee portions of his home made lasagne with garlic bread and salad - all individually boxed up, he was very sweet. He always had cracking trainers on too! I know he struggled with health issues and depression and I hope he has found peace now. Lots of love, Hannah.
