I have so many fond memories i really would not know where to begin so i will start by thanking you for welcoming me into your family space all those many years ago when i was first introduced to you by one of the girls who used to keep her ponies on your field i was invited or perhaps slightly gate crashed a bonfire night party you were hosting it was such a lovely evening and i had for the very first time hare stew was so tastey well from that evening i spent alot of time horse riding and helping around the farm you taught me to milk the cows which set me in good stead for my first job when leaving school but the one thing i thankyou for is the friendship which grew between myself Emma and Charlie which continues so many years on we may not see each other often as we would like because well there alot of miles between us but its one friendship that is so special. You make me smile when i sit and think of all the fun times i had as a kid up your farm and ive got to say we had to work hard to potatoe picking springs to mind lol but thats another story well i will leave it there for now as you know one day we will all be reunited once again so for now take good care x

Sue

i have very clear and funny childhood memories of racing around the farm, teasing the VERY angry goose that tried to gobble us up when ever he got near! He was a brilliant guard animal! Uncle Martin was always busy but always showed that he was pleased to see us and I remember him always being funny. The last time I saw him was when he was very poorly on his birthday, too poorly to attend his own birthday 'party' and Sarah and I were summoned to see him in his bedroom, where we all shared some rather personal but VERY funny medical stories. He laughed A LOT! He asked to see little Ella, and wanted to know what breed she was!!! Despite her surname she is very much a Heatley. As Nan used to say, "Remember what your name is and where you come from". Well she was right to keep reminding us, because the HEATLEY's are a very special family; hard working, supportive and non-judgemental.Uncle Martin , you will be missed very much. Love Ruthie
